SCFHS-Registered Senior Psychologist

From a young age, I noticed I could pick up what people left unsaid. People felt comfortable sharing their stories with me — but that sensitivity didn't always fit the world around me growing up. I started university studying engineering. I knew quickly it wasn't where I belonged. Choosing psychology felt vulnerable, but it was the most honest decision I've ever made, and I am grateful for it.

I'm a senior psychologist and PhD researcher in clinical psychology, based in Scotland. I work with adults whose first language is Arabic or English — people navigating a world that doesn't always make space for who they are.

I know what it feels like to carry pressure. I've lived across Saudi Arabia, Australia, and Scotland and I've felt the weight of transition, expectation, and finding your footing far from home. I've experienced grief, separation, loss, and loneliness alongside many moments of joy and gratitude. That's not just something I've studied. It's something I've lived.

Over the years I've worked with clients from Aboriginal communities in Australia, diverse international backgrounds, and across cities in Saudi Arabia — and now here in Scotland. That breadth of experience shapes how I show up for every person I work with.

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, burnout, relationship stress, or simply a sense that something isn't right — this is a space where you are understood, not translated, and never judged.

My doctoral research focuses on adapting therapy to the Arab and Saudi cultural context. This isn't just my profession — it's my area of expertise.

For those whose faith is central to their life, I understand and respect that deeply. As a Muslim, I recognise that Islam can be a profound source of guidance and light — and where it is meaningful to you, we can weave that into our work together.

Outside the therapy room, I find peace in nature. I believe humour belongs in healing — and yes, we can laugh in sessions. Life is heavy enough without therapy adding to that weight.

Here, your world makes sense.
